Concept art of Kiviuq, a legendary shaman from Inuit culture. The first drawing is drawn and coloured by me. The 2nd drawing is drawn by Manuell Martinez and is currently being coloured by me. We will most likely not continue with this direction as it is too time consuming to paint in this style, and thought it will look great on cards, it is not the best direction for the Online.
Media: Painter and Photoshop.

Update: I originally posted this through Posterous but it did not format correctly and also I can’t add tags through Posterous. Too bad.

These are the cards that Manuell and I have completed for Card Adventure’s trading card game. I didn’t black out the text this time as this version of cards will not be used. Actually the TCG concept is being shelved for now due to licensing issues from Wizards of the Coast. Did you know there is a patent on collectible card games? Regardless, there is still going to be cards (as the company is called Card Adventures) but the focus will be changing to Online. I love card games, but I love Online games even more, so I am not too disappointed that the TCG has been shelved.

Style #2 was chosen, thank you to the Bootup Labs kids for filling out the survey. (And parents for allowing them to participate!) Here is the first character, China’s Monkey King. Many many many more card art to come.

A quickie entry for me for June. I spent only 3 hours on this, when I usually spend at least 6. Funny story, I totally misunderstood this month’s topic. I was busy drawing Rainbow Brite in one of my cartoony drawing styles. I realized last night that I’m suppose to do a realistic style. Booo reading comprehension.
